It all begins with an idea.
Originally from Santa Clara Cuba, Sandra Santana came to the United States at the age of six years old with her parents and a dream. It wasn’t until around the age of 13 when she started as a backup dancer for Jen Carlos Canela that her passion for fashion really ignited. At that time, she started designing and styling what she and the other dancers would wear.

That continued as a young woman, accompanied by her big personality, Sandra would create her own outfits to go out since she did not want to be wearing what everyone else was wearing. In Miami, especially where everything is a trend, what one person wears, the whole city starts wearing, she says. The designer can honestly say that she is the opposite of basic. Sandra aims to make an entrance, captivate and be the center of attention anywhere she goes. Sandra is known for being ahead of fashion trends.For years she put own her ambitions on hold as she became a mother and family life took center stage but never lost hope of one day creating her own swim line.

Pink Melon is luxury swimwear with a modern twist. Swimsuits are Sandra's life and she believes they must dress you up and that’s the mantra behind her line.

Never letting go of her island girl spirit she uses her passion for the ocean as inspiration for her sexy swimwear designs that appeal to the everyday girl who wants to stand out in every crowd.

The brand is a classy and definitely sexy line for different types of women who are feeling themselves and want to reveal some skin without being completely naked.

Sandra wants to empower all woman to be and feel sexy, no matter the age or body type. Our designer seeks to inspire women to wear what they want, what they like, and not play into what society thinks they should wear.
